The interdisciplinary and transboundary project „2011 European Forum of History and Arts“ in Krzyzowa is engaged in the subject of “forced migration” in Europe. Over 120 participants, – students and professors from 14 universities out of 9 different countries, will come together on site. The theme will be studied via historic and artistic workshops. In terms of a remembrance work, scientific publications as well as artistic drafts, projects and concepts will be developped.
A public exhibition will be staged and lectures will be given in Krzyzowa to conclude the project and to show the resulting works.

The project will be under the patronage of both Prof. Dr. Gesine Schwan, German political scientist, chairwoman of the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance, and Prof. Dr. Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, renowned Polish historian, publicist and politician.
